EECA opens 51st Cairo International Fair next Wednesday

Samy Younes, the chairman of the Egypt Expo & Convention Authority (EECA) announced -during a press conference held in Cairo –that the Prime Minister Sherif Ismail will open next Wednesday the 51st round of the Cairo International Fair, to be held from March 14 to 23 with broad international and local participation.

So far, 22 countries have applied to take part in the expo-; where they can display products in the fields of engineering industries, chemicals, food, construction materials, leather and ready-made garments; he said.

Younis pointed out that Cameron will be the guest of honor in this round, which will be held under the theme “Africa: Present and Future.” Participants include: Uganda, South Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia , Sri Lanka China, Iraq, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, Cameroon, Kuwait, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Côte d'Ivoire, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Zimbabwe, Latvia, Pakistan, Vietnam and Guinea; he added

The exhibition area of this round reaches 30 thousand meters with an increase of 25%, he noted.

This year’s edition, he noted, will feature for the first time “The International Village,” a platform over an area of 4,000 square meters, that will bring together representatives of the 22 participants as well as the Egyptian export councils.

“The International Village aims at promoting Egyptian products and clenching agreements along with B2B contracts, that would open new horizons for Egypt’s exports across the globe,” Younes pointed out
